Super Touring RXN Joins Packed Nysum Racing Bill

The Super Touring RXN category will make its debut on the RallyX Nordic racing programme at Nysum in Denmark on 11-12 August, series organisers are pleased to announce.

Based on the well-established TouringCar class of rallycross racing, Super Touring RXN will bring many of the category’s most successful contenders to RallyX Nordic to bolster an already packed race day bill that includes the Supercar and Supercar Lites series.

The exciting expansion comes as part of a new strategy to give fans more racing value and to continue growing RallyX Nordic’s platform as a proving ground for rallycross racing talent.

Super Touring RXN has been included onto the bill in Denmark with a long-term view to it becoming a firm feature of the entire 2019 RallyX Nordic calendar.

The TouringCar class enjoys a strong following as part of its inclusion on the FIA European Rallycross Championship calendar and RallyX Nordic has duly courted several of its leading contenders to participate in the inaugural Super Touring RXN round next weekend.

This includes newly-crowned 2018 European champion Sivert Svardal, plus other front runners from this year’s series Jan Emil Wilsberg, Daniel Lundh and Tobias Daabak.

Ian Davies, RallyX Nordic Series Manager, commented: “The TouringCar class is an established path towards rallycross glory for many of today’s leading drivers so it is a pleasure to give the category another high-profile platform for its hugely competitive series. The addition of Super Touring RXN demonstrates RallyX Nordic’s commitment to providing a broad platform for rallycross competitors in terms of live television exposure and to give fans yet more high-quality racing for their money. We are certain Super Touring RXN will come as a very welcome addition to the RallyX Nordic programme.”
