The Tierp Arena is opening its doors to teams and drivers wishing to sample its all-new rallycross track, with an official RallyX Nordic presented by Cooper Tires media day and test to be held on Tuesday 18 September.
One of northern Europe’s newest motor racing venues, the Tierp Arena has added a rallycross track to its facility and will receive its competition inauguration on 6-7 October as host for the 2018 RallyX Nordic season finale.
Prior to this, however, teams are being invited to begin preparations with this official test on 18 September.
As well as a prime opportunity for RallyX Nordic teams and drivers to sample the track, the day will also give media the chance to interview key drivers – including title rivals Oliver Solberg, Oliver Eriksson and Thomas Bryntesson – ahead of the RallyX Nordic presented by Cooper Tires showdown.
A ‘Meet the Drivers’ session with refreshments will take place at 11.30 will be followed by a press conference at 12.00. The track test and passenger rides begin at 13.00.
Additionally, passenger laps are being offered to attending media to allow them a driver’s eye-view of the Tierp Arena track and to experience the sheer power of these incredible 600HP machines.
Held in the days after the World RX of Latvia (15-16 September), the test is open to teams competing outside of RallyX Nordic, including FIA European Rallycross Championship competitors.
