RallyX Nordic TV packages confirmed for Norway, Denmark

On the eve of the new season, it has been confirmed that RallyX Nordic presented by Cooper Tires will enjoy extensive television coverage in Norway and Denmark throughout 2019 – complementing the already announced agreement with TV6 Latvia in the Baltic regions.

In Norway, Viasat – the country’s home of the FIA World Rallycross Championship transmissions – will bring fans live coverage of the RallyX Nordic semi-finals and finals. With 12 of this weekend’s 56-strong field of drivers across the Supercar, Supercar Lites, RX Academy and CrossCar classes flying the Norwegian flag, fans in the country will have plenty to cheer for as the new campaign revs into life.

In Denmark, viewers will be able to get their fix of Scandinavia’s premier rallycross series via a comprehensive, nationwide highlights package on Viasat channels, TV3 SPORT, TV3 MAX, Viaplay and five local TV 2 regional channels.

The programmes will be produced by Race Media, with Danish voiceover from leading rallycross expert Thomas Jacobsen – son of former rallycross driver Henrik Jacobsen. The highlights will be broadcast approximately one week after each race weekend.

“I’m so happy about this news,” enthused Olsbergs MSE Supercar driver Ulrik Linnemann, who was instrumental in putting the agreement together. “It will definitely be a step forward for the sport in Denmark. It has obviously been in my interests since I began competing in rallycross to make the discipline better known in my home country, and I know that both Thomas and Race Media will put a great effort into this project.”

In addition to RallyX Nordic’s TV deals, all RallyX Nordic rounds will benefit from two hours of livestream coverage (15h00 – 17h00) via the series’ Facebook page: www.facebook.com/rallyxnordic
