Eriksson top of Saturday’s timesheets in Finland

Oliver Eriksson picked up where he left off, going fastest in Q1 at the Kouvolva circuit four weeks after his triumph in Norway. The Olsbergs MSE driver bested championship rival Robin Larsson on track by nine-tenths to take an early lead at the Finnish event.

The sister Honda Civic of Ulrik Linnemann ended the day in third followed by local man and Finnish Rallycross championship leader Juha Rytkönen. RX2 driver Jesse Kallio certainly had the crowd’s support at the Finnish driver placed third ahead of JC Raceteknik’s Sondre Evjen who is keen to close the gap in the championship. Petter Nårsa and Simon Olofsson finished fifth and sixth respectively.

RX Academy saw Tommi Hallman set the fastest time of Q1as the Finn looks to make inroads into compatriot, Rasmus Tuominen’s points lead. Marko Muru had a promising return to form in second ahead of Joni Heikkinen and the aforementioned Tuominen. Jonne Ollikainen was four seconds off the pace with newcomer Pepe Arque in sixth place.
