After winning the RallyX championship last season, Sebastian Enholm has been chosen by the Swedish Motorsport Federation to defend his country’s flag at the forthcoming FIA Motorsport Games, to be held in Valencia from 23 to 27 October.
At just 21 years of age, Sebastian Enholm has an impressive CV. A three-time Swedish CrossCar champion, the Swede also won the Nitro RX title in 2022, before finishing first in the RallyX championship in 2023 with one win and four podiums in total.
Although limited to the Swedish championship this year, the Fjugesta-born driver currently leads his national championship in both CrossCar and Rallycross.
It goes without saying that he will be a natural favourite to succeed two-time FIA European Champion David Méat at these Olympic Games of motorsport, while also demonstrating the speed of the drivers from the RallyX championship.
“Of course it’s a great honour to represent Sweden and show what I can do,” says Sebastian.
One thing is for sure, the Swede will be no stranger to Spanish soil.
“For six years in a row we’ve been going to Spain every winter to fine-tune our preparations for our various programmes. I intend to do my utmost to reach the level of the favourites in the FIA European Championship, who are all factory drivers. For our part, we still have four races to go in the Swedish Championship and I’m going to make the most of this opportunity to prepare as well as possible for the FIA Motorsport Games.”
