Polish star Tomasz Lyszkowicz wants to return in 2025

While the Polish driver has enjoyed his two outings this year in the RallyX championship at Nysum and Buxtehude, Tomasz Lyszkowicz has confirmed that he has every intention of returning to action in 2025.

The four races he contested last summer failed to earn him any qualification for a final in the Open 2WD category, but his two Top 10 finishes in Denmark and Germany convinced him that the RallyX championship was indeed the way to go.

At least, that’s what Tomasz told Polish media outlet Rally and Race.

‘The 2024 season is now over and it’s time to look ahead to 2025,’ says Tomasz.

‘If we analyse our season, and given the level of competitiveness of the various championships that exist in Poland and the rest of Europe, I think our best option would be to return to a championship that is becoming increasingly prestigious, which is none other than RallyX.’

‘Our intention is to start again with our BMW E36, which is currently undergoing a number of changes that will enable us to be more competitive so that we can take on the best.’

One thing is certain, in the eyes of Tomasz Lyszkowicz, RallyX remains the ‘benchmark’ championship.

‘There are many reasons why I prefer to concentrate on RallyX. Apart from the number of competitors and their incredible level of competitiveness, RallyX is quite simply the toughest championship in which I’ve had the opportunity to compete in motorsport’

‘What’s more, we’re dealing with authentic Rallycross tracks that are still very different from what we’re used to, and when you add in the quality of the work done by the promoter, who is highlighting everything that makes Rallycross so appealing to fans, it can only make me want to take part. The cars make a lot of noise, the exhausts spit flames and the donuts that are part of the experience at the end of each final all contribute to making this championship an even more spectacular series’.

‘For the time being, we’re still discussing to what extent we’ll be able to implement this programme in RallyX but, whatever happens, and just like this 2024 season, I intend to do everything I can to fly the Polish flag alongside the 150 other drivers who make up this championship.’
