While the young Norwegian driver already boasts an impressive résumé in his national championship, Emil Sivesind recently had the opportunity to try his hand at the wheel of the new FC2. One thing is certain: Emil continues to follow the evolution of the RallyX series with obvious interest.
In just five seasons of rallycross and hill-climb racing, Emil Sivesind has already amassed no fewer than seven national titles, as well as two runner-up crowns and a third-place finish.
Once again this year, Emil Sivesind did not miss the chance to claim yet another trophy, defeating Simen Engsvik in the “Klasse 4” category. And while the Norwegian won everything at the wheel of his Audi A1, he also made the trip to Strängnäs at the beginning of November to discover the new FC2.
“The reason I decided to take part in this testing session was simply because I wanted to get to know this new car and try something new. I’d already had the chance to test a VW Polo Supercar in the past, but I have to admit that the FC2 concept is an excellent alternative to the Supercar”, Emil points out.
For the time being, however, the young Norwegian has no immediate plans to compete full-time in FC2.
“At the moment, a full season in FC2 for the 2025 season is not realistic in terms of budget, but if the opportunity arises, I’ll certainly take it. In any case, it would be great to be able to compete in one or two events next season. With the budgets we’ve managed to put together, our only alternative at the moment is limited to the Norwegian Championship in 2025, where we will return with the clear objective of defending the national crown we secured this year.’
While Emil doesn’t rule out a few appearances at the wheel of the FC2 in 2025, it would also be forgetting too quickly that he has an Audi A1 at his disposal, which would be enough to make the Norwegian one of the favourites for the title in the Open 2WD category of the RallyX championship.
“We’re obviously looking to export ourselves internationally, but that requires a lot of budget. To achieve this, we’d need to gather more partners around us, but it’s a theme we’re continuing to work on. In any case, it would be exciting to be able to take part in other events outside Norway and find out what our true level is compared with the best drivers.”
” In fact, entering our Audi in the Open 2WD class for some events could definitely be an option. One thing’s for sure, it’s quite motivating to see all the efforts that are being made by RallyX to develop Rallycross, and I make no secret that I’m looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for us.”
