A few days after announcing its intention to expand into markets other than Scandinavia, RallyX is also planning to move up a gear in terms of streaming, with focus on new and innovative solutions.
While broadcasts of the various RallyX series will continue to be available free of charge via its YouTube platform, there will be a host of new features that are sure to take fans behind the scenes of each event on the calendar, with new developments being rolled out progressively throughout the 2025 season.
‘From next season onwards, RallyX will simply revolutionize the way Rallycross events are broadcast using a completely new platform,’ says Peter Hellman Strand, RallyX’s Marketing Manager.
‘Our aim is simple: to allow viewers to go behind the scenes of our championship. As always, access to our live broadcasts will remain free on all devices but, if fans want it, and in exchange for a small fee and a simple click, they will also be able to access even more content with a complete and total experience of our competition weekends with for example on-board cameras, exclusive reports within the RallyX teams as well as all the behind the scenes of our championship.”
‘Our new platform goes beyond just broadcasting a live sporting event but will tend to offer even more interaction with the audience.”
‘For example, we will have the possibility for drivers and teams to market their products to fans with a simple click that will take them directly to the merch they want, without leaving the live feed. All the drivers will be able to connect their own online merchandise shops to our platform. For those who don’t have one, RallyX will help them to develop their own brand,’ continues Peter Hellman Strand.
‘For our partners, it will also be a major step forward. For example, if a car manufacturer wants to join us, it will be able to offer a test drive directly from the dealership closest to the fans who make the request, with a simple click.’
‘The most fun thing for me about this new platform is that we’re going to allow fans to become their own TV producer. They will be able to switch from regular video feeds to on-board cameras or even choose to follow the races from our drone. Of course, all the races will be broadcast free of charge, as has always been the case, but our YouTube channel will become more of a calling card to attract fans to our new platform offering all these new services.”
‘We’re not just broadcasting racing anymore, we’re transforming how the fans experience it.”
