After splitting his 2024 season between RallyX Nordic and the FIA European CrossCar Championship, Pasi Penttinen has decided to follow the path set by RX Promotion this winter with the launch of the RallyX Euro League series.

The Finnish driver couldn’t resist the opportunity to capitalise on the expansion of the championship.

“I have to admit that for a while I was considering retiring from racing in the off-season and hanging up my helmet for good. But when I heard about RallyX’s ambitions to grow in Southern Europe and the Americas, I immediately felt that my journey in motorsport wasn’t over yet,” says Pasi Penttinen.

Having finished 16th overall last season under the Pace Motorsport banner, the Finnish driver has decided to return to familiar territory, swapping his LifeLive TN11 chassis for his trusty Speedcar Wonder.

“I am grateful to have been part of the LifeLive / Pace Motorsport family last season. I had some fantastic moments with them, both in the RallyX Championship and in the FIA European Autocross Championship. I have made great friends and will always cherish my 2024 season with them. However, I believe that returning to the Speedcar Wonder is the best decision I can make, as this model simply suits my driving style much better.”

Back with Huuhka Motorsport, Penttinen has full confidence in the Finnish outfit to provide him with the best possible conditions for success.

“Even though the RallyX regulations have evolved, I have full confidence in the team’s ability to develop a reliable and competitive car. For me, Huuhka Motorsport is one of the best teams in Europe. As a driver, I’m only one piece of the puzzle. I know how important it is to have a top-class team behind you and I sincerely hope that our hard work will allow us to compete for the title in 2025.”

“Of course, luck has to be on our side, but I’m a competitor. Every time I put on my helmet, there’s only one thing on my mind: to fight for victory”

Known for his spectacular racing style in the RallyX championship, Pasi Penttinen is eager to take on the new tracks at Montalegre, Valkenswaard and KymiRing.

“I think the whole RallyX calendar is outstanding. I can’t wait to tackle these new tracks in Southern Europe, where we have no previous experience. As a Finnish driver, I’m especially excited about the addition of KymiRing to the championship. It will be my home race and I really hope it will attract a huge crowd to the circuit.”
