After a challenging start to his RallyX season — with just one final appearance in six rounds since Montalegre — Joonatan Ylilammi has opted for a fresh approach heading into the fourth stage of the 2025 campaign.

Following six races behind the wheel of a Casmat chassis, the Finnish driver made a bold decision to abandon his usual setup in favor of a Speedcar Wonder.

“We just couldn’t find the right balance with the Casmat, so at this point in the season, we knew a change was necessary,” Ylilammi explained.

“Despite the difficulties we’ve faced since the beginning of the year, we’re staying positive and as determined as ever to fight for the top spots. We’ve managed to get in some testing with the Speedcar Wonder chassis, though we’ve also run into a few engine issues. So there’s still a lot of work ahead before Kymiring.”

Beyond the mechanical preparation for this home round, Ylilammi has also begun to get acquainted with the new and undulating track, which features a heavy emphasis on gravel sections.

“I’ve watched a few videos of the Kymiring layout, and it looks interesting. The main straight is a bit too long for my taste, but I’m really looking forward to getting out there and racing,” he added.
