RallyX makes its return to Sweden this weekend in Älvsbyn, as Höghedens Motorstadion hosts the fifth of seven RallyX events in Europe this year and the third event of the RallyX North championship. Names like Maiko Tamm (Open 4WD), Lukas Andersson (Supercar Lites), and Simon Tiger (Open 2WD) are set to defend their victories from Sweden last season as part of a strong entry list of more than 70 cars.
The challenging Älvsbyn circuit features a roughly 50-50 mix of tarmac and dirt, with multiple hills and tricky surface changes—including a switch onto the dirt shortly after the first corner. Its multiple hairpins are paved, but both see drivers head into and out of them on dirt, forcing drivers to adapt quickly. The narrow dirt Joker Lap brings drivers up and around a hill before launching them back into another paved corner on the main route, while fast and flowing tarmac corners close out the lap.
