After securing victory in Saturday’s Race 1, Filip Martinsson repeated the feat on Sunday, claiming his third career win at this level of competition.

While Oliver Eriksson topped the qualifying heats in his FC2, Martinsson once again followed the same script as the day before—seizing the best time in Q3 to set himself up for a strong finish.

That performance allowed him to climb to third in the intermediate classification before dominating the final stages, dispatching current North championship leader Maiko Tamm on his way to victory.

Third across the line after a fierce battle with Viktor Vranckx, Ulrik Linnemann was later stripped of his podium spot following a race direction decision, handing third place to Oliver Eriksson. Meanwhile, Mats Öhman narrowly missed the podium for the second time in as many days.

In the overall standings, Maiko Tamm now holds a 19- and 28-point advantage over his closest rivals, Ulrik Linnemann and Filip Martinsson.

Oliver Eriksson gets his revenge in FC2

Unable to convert his top spot in the Open 4WD intermediate standings into a win, Oliver Eriksson bounced back in the FC2 final to take his first victory of the season.

The OMSE driver edged out Casper Jansson and Simon Olofsson to secure the win, reinforcing his second place in the championship standings. He now sits 16 points behind current leader Casper Jansson, while Fraser McConnell remains third overall.

Julien Meunier doubles up in Supercar Lites

Third in the intermediate classification behind Lukas Andersson and Roberts Vitols after qualifying, Julien Meunier rose to the occasion in the finals, taking his third win of the season ahead of Tobias Daarbak and Hampus Hagström.

Roberts Vitols had been in the fight for the podium until the final lap, when a wheel-to-wheel clash with Hagström dropped him down the order. Lukas Andersson took advantage to claim fourth in Race 2, just ahead of Robin Norrlander—who reached the final for the second time this weekend in front of his home crowd in Älvsbyn.

With just two rounds remaining in the 2025 season, Julien Meunier has reclaimed the championship lead from Roberts Vitols by a slim two-point margin. Lukas Andersson also remains in contention, trailing the Frenchman by only four points.

Viktor Johansson fires back at home

After a frustrating early exit in Saturday’s semifinals due to an electrical issue, Viktor Johansson got his redemption on home soil.

Outpaced once again in qualifying by the excellent Lucas Gabrielsson, the Mercedes driver found the resources to flip the script when it counted most.

Despite losing ground at the start to Adam Öhman, Johansson regrouped and found a way through, eventually claiming his fourth win of the season ahead of Öhman and Finnish rallycross icon Joni-Pekka Rajala.

The result allows Johansson to maintain his lead in the RallyX North standings. Heading into the penultimate round in Nysum, the Swede holds a six-point cushion over Gabrielsson.

CrossCar: Ylilammi keeps going, Murstad unable to find success

For the second time in as many races in Älvsbyn, Thomas Eek Murstad looked in control after once again topping the intermediate standings.

However, just like on Saturday—when he had to settle for fourth—a broken suspension in Sunday’s final opened the door for the impressive Joonatan Ylilammi, who took full advantage to clinch his second victory of the weekend.

After finishing second on Saturday, Estonian rising star Lucas Orav matched that result again, edging out Espen Isaksætre, who earned his first-ever podium finish at RallyX level.

Fourth place went to Joni-Pekka Rajala, ahead of a strong Oliver Lucas Jensen, who celebrated his first final appearance of the season.

As always, the final two rounds in Nysum and Buxtehude this August promise fireworks—with just 15 points separating the top six. While Martin Juga continues to lead the North standings ahead of Murstad, Tsirna, and Ylilammi, the Try/Orav duo remains firmly in the hunt.

Peetu Piira takes control in the Juniors

After winning Race 1 on Saturday, Peetu Piira did it again on Sunday, once more outperforming his rivals.

Second in the intermediate standings, Piira went on to win the final ahead of Peetu Matalamäki and Iivari Mannisto, while early-season frontrunner Carl Svedlund narrowly missed out on a podium finish, coming home ahead of the Huuhka/Isaksætre duo.

With four wins from five rounds in the North series, Peetu Piira now has a solid lead—sitting 14 and 34 points clear of Svedlund and Matalamäki respectively, with just Nysum and Buxtehude left on the calendar.
