Coming into Nysum with a commanding 19-point lead over Ulrik Linnemann in the Open 4WD championship standings, Maiko Tamm saw his advantage cut in half after a challenging Race 1 weekend.

Still, the TT Motorsport driver isn’t letting the pressure get to him. Despite finishing fourth in the intermediate classification on Saturday and bowing out in the semi-final, Tamm remains composed and focused on the bigger picture.

“On Friday during free practice, we had a technical issue, but we managed to fix it. By Saturday, everything seemed to be going well—we had good speed and strong pace. But in the semi-final, a bit of bad luck at the start and a mistake on my part with the joker lap cost us a place in the final,” explained Maiko, whose lead over Linnemann now stands at just ten points.

“Honestly, I don’t feel any particular pressure. We’re continuing to take things one race at a time, just as we’ve done all season. I know Ulrik is very fast here—it’s practically his home track—but we’ll push hard and do everything we can to arrive in Buxtehude in a strong position in the championship.”
