Finishing fourth in the overall RallyX standings in just his second season in the Supercar Lites category, Tobias Daarbak is already setting his sights on new challenges for 2026.
Despite securing four podiums from the last nine rounds on this year’s RallyX calendar, the Danish driver ultimately fell short of reaching the championship’s overall podium.
Nineteen points adrift of third-placed Roberts Vitols, Daarbak delivered a mixed assessment of his campaign.
Even though he went toe-to-toe with this year’s champion Julien Meunier in qualifying — scoring 177 points against Meunier’s 179 — luck rarely sided with the Dane when it came to the finals. His sixth-place finish in the season finale was a telling example.

“This last race of the championship in Buxtehude pretty much sums up our season,” Daarbak admitted. “Once again, we had the speed to fight for the win, but the finals never went according to plan. To be honest, it was frustrating to have to wrap up my season on such a note.”
“We end the year on a big disappointment, but in truth that’s been the story of much of our season. We had endless technical problems with the car and couldn’t figure out the cause. It was only during the last weekend in Buxtehude that we finally found the solution — but by then it was far too late to change anything in the standings. It’s regrettable to finish the championship like this, but that’s how it is. It simply wasn’t our season.”
For Daarbak, the focus has now shifted firmly to 2026.
“As for the future, one thing is certain: I won’t be competing in Supercar Lites next year. I want something different, maybe a new direction, but for now I’m not sure what that will be. We’ll see what the future brings. FC2 could be a very interesting option, but everything has to fall into place. It’s something we’ll be discussing, because it would be a fantastic opportunity for me.”
