A leading figure in the RallyX championship over the past few seasons, Romet Tsirna is about to take a major new step in his career. Having finished inside the overall CrossCar Top 5 in both 2024 and 2025, the Estonian driver has chosen to move up to the FC2 category starting with the 2026 season.
This transition marks Tsirna’s entry into RallyX’s premier class. From 2026 onward, he will compete under the Team OMSE banner, while remaining closely connected to PACE Motorsport, which will continue to support him behind the scenes under the guidance of Jarmo Võsa.
After five seasons in CrossCar, Tsirna believes he has reached the end of that chapter.
“This change was necessary for me. CrossCar no longer gave me the adrenaline I used to feel. Over five years, I achieved all the goals I had set for myself in that category. I wanted to commit to a project that could deliver new sensations, and that’s exactly what FC2 will bring,” explains Tsirna.
The decision took shape over the course of the 2025 season, following a period of careful reflection and a series of successful initial tests carried out last June, shortly after the Älvsbyn round.
“After the race in the Netherlands, I felt that I needed to change direction for 2026. I started analyzing FC2 and, after discussing it with Reinis Nitišs, I decided to take part in a first test session,” he adds.

Those early runs quickly confirmed that the move was the right one.
“My first laps were completed in very difficult conditions, but that didn’t stop me from feeling confident straight away. What surprised me most was how responsive the car was to setup changes. Overall, the transition from CrossCar to FC2 was easier than I expected,” Tsirna admits.
His integration within the Olsbergs-MSE structure came naturally.
“The way the team operates is extremely professional. It’s an ideal environment in which to progress. In reality, Olsbergs-MSE functions like a real family. It’s an honor to be part of it and to contribute, in my own way, to that mindset. As for my goals, they are simple: to be competitive in terms of outright pace, to gain as much experience as possible on track, and to try to maintain the cleanest driving style I can.”
Within Olsbergs-MSE, enthusiasm is equally clear at the prospect of welcoming a driver who has played a leading role in the CrossCar category over the past two seasons.
“We’ve already completed two full days of testing with Romet. He immediately showed why he has been a top-level driver in RallyX. He adapted very quickly, and I expect him to be competitive soon and capable of fighting with the best. Our goal is for him to win races, and I’m convinced he has the potential to do so,” says Kevin Eriksson, Team Manager of Olsbergs MSE.
This signing represents the first cornerstone of the Swedish team’s 2026 project.
“Romet is the first driver whose presence we can confirm for 2026, but others will follow soon. We will once again have a very strong team next season. One thing is certain: the RallyX field is shaping up to be exceptional, and we will clearly need to raise our game as a team if we want to be in a position to fight for the title.”
