Praised by numerous drivers, including the highly respected Joni Turpeinen, the Pesämäki circuit is set to make its long-awaited debut on the RallyX calendar on May 23–24, 2026. A new stop with serious promise, as Honkajoki’s layout is already considered one of the most spectacular in Europe.
Following in the footsteps of Kouvola, OuluZone, and KymiRing, Honkajoki becomes the fourth Finnish venue to showcase its strengths as part of RallyX. And all signs suggest that Pesämäki—located 300 kilometres northwest of Helsinki—is more than ready to dazzle the crowds, as confirmed by the president of the organising club, Timo Vähäsantanen.
“The track is both fast and demanding. The Joker Lap is perfectly balanced—it creates real gaps and can genuinely influence how races unfold. We have grandstands positioned all around the circuit, very close to the track, offering spectators an optimal viewing experience,” says Timo.
If 2026 is set to be a historic year for Pesämäki, it’s also because the circuit aims to make a strong first impression. The organisers are leaving nothing to chance, clearly determined to establish their venue as a new benchmark in the world of Rallycross.
“For international drivers and fans, this is a unique opportunity to discover what Pesämäki has to offer for the very first time. A world-class layout, modern facilities… we’re in the process of creating a real showpiece for Rallycross.”

Behind the scenes, preparations are already well underway. The objective: to showcase a site rich in both character and potential.
“The entire venue will be cleaned and prepared. In the spring, we will also add a brand-new grandstand near the paddock. We hope our communication efforts will pay off and that motorsport fans, both long-time followers and newcomers, will turn out in large numbers.”
To ensure a successful debut in RallyX, Pesämäki is also counting on strong representation from Finnish drivers—something that, according to Timo Vähäsantanen, is far from a mere bonus.
“It’s vital to bring together a strong contingent of Finnish drivers for this round. Not only does it highlight our national talent pool, but it also gives spectators a chance to see how our drivers measure up against the best international competitors.”
Now comes the task of turning ambition into reality. Come May, all the ingredients could align to make this inaugural edition a resounding success.
“Of course, we’re hoping for a full grid and packed grandstands. If the weather cooperates, we’ll be ready to deliver the very best of our sport to the entire motorsport community.”
