After making his mark in the Open 2WD category of the RallyX Championship at the wheel of his BMW M3, Bart Bel is set to take on a new challenge in 2026 by stepping up to Supercar competition with his Ford Focus Mk3.

Having entrusted his current car to Nathan Ottink last year, the Dutch driver is now ready to take the next step in his development by contesting the RallyX South championship in the Open 4WD class.

“This season, we will be competing in RallyX South with our trusted Ford Focus. So far, I’ve only had one opportunity to drive the car, which means I still lack experience in a Supercar,” Bel explained to Dutch-language outlet rx-inside.be. “Above all, the main objective is to enjoy myself and make the most of this adventure.”

“I have no illusions about fighting for victories, because the level is extremely high,” he continued. “The top ten is made up of full-time professional drivers. For me, this remains, above all, a hobby that has perhaps grown a little beyond its original scope.”

One thing is certain: Bart Bel will be firmly in the spotlight on home soil in Valkenswaard on April 25–26, during the second Dutch round of the RallyX season.

“The highlight of my season will once again be the RallyX round in Valkenswaard,” he said. “Being able to experience this event again and see it through together makes me extremely proud. It will be a fantastic weekend with friends, family, and partners, topped off with the pleasure of driving the Ford Focus.”
