A two-time RallyX champion in the Open 2WD category, Viktor Johansson launched his own YouTube channel a few weeks ago. A natural step for a driver who has established himself as one of the most recognizable figures in the RallyX championship.

At a time when motorsport is constantly looking for new ways to strengthen its connection with fans, the Swedish driver has decided to open the doors to his daily life. Through his YouTube channel, Johansson aims to share far more than simple race footage, offering fans a genuine look behind the scenes of rallycross.

For Johansson, the media environment surrounding the RallyX championship has also played a key role in inspiring this initiative.

“The RallyX platform offers exceptional media exposure today. The championship is very active on social media, and it’s really motivating to compete in such a modern and dynamic environment. Over time, I also noticed that whenever I posted photos or videos from the workshop on Instagram, the engagement was very strong. The views and interactions were impressive, and that encouraged me to take things a step further.”

With that realization in mind, Johansson decided to move forward by developing his own content creation project.

“That’s why I decided to launch my own YouTube channel. I’m completely new to this world and I’m still learning how to structure the content and edit the videos, but my goal is very clear: to show what goes on behind the scenes of my work. I want to explain what it means to try to become one of the best rallycross drivers in Europe, the amount of work it requires on a daily basis, and all the hours spent in the workshop.”

Like many drivers venturing into content creation, the early stages were not without challenges.

“At the beginning, it wasn’t easy to film myself or to produce content regularly. But I feel that every episode is better than the last, and the project is improving over time.”

“I started by filming the complete disassembly of the car in the workshop. The idea is to allow subscribers to follow the entire season: the winter rebuild, technical developments, preparing for the first race, loading the truck, the long hours on the road across Sweden, and then the trips across Europe for the different competitions.”

Beyond the technical side, Johansson ultimately hopes to give fans a closer connection to his racing journey.

“I want people to see everything and feel like they are part of this adventure. We’ll move forward episode by episode, and I hope the audience enjoys following the project as much as I enjoy sharing it.”
