Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières has officially unveiled the details of its RallyX Americas weekend, coming to the world-famous street circuit on August 22-23. Titled GP3Vert (GreenP3R), the event will serve as Rounds 5 and 6 of the inaugural RallyX Americas championship, with all of RallyX Americas’ premier divisions represented. The event will further be supported by SuperMoto, SuperQuad, rally, and side-by-side divisions, as well as the hydrogen-powered H2GP, and will be the first Canadian sporting event to feature a full broadcast in the vertical 9:16 format.
On hand for the announcement were key GP3R staff, including co-president Dany Cloutier and general manager Dominic Fugère. Numerous drivers who have tested RallyX Americas machinery in open tests were also on hand, including two-time Rolex 24 at Daytona winner JF Dumoulin, Pro 2 off-road driver Pat Denis, two-time Quebec Rally champion Vincent Lalande, and up-and-coming karting star Evan Kirchhoff.
“People told us they missed rallycross, and our fans repeatedly told us we weren’t the only ones,” said GP3R General Manager Dominic Fugère. “By bringing this international discipline back with the GP3Vert Canada Rallycross, we are tapping into a powerful synergy between our strong reputation in the motorsport world, our sustained efforts in sustainable development, our geographic position at the heart of the Energy Transition Valley, and, of course, our place as a must-visit destination for action and adrenaline fans from Quebec and around the world.”
