GRX is set to make its return to rallycross on April 25–26 in Valkenswaard with Niclas Grönholm. Crowned RallyX Supercar champion in 2022 at the wheel of a Hyundai i20, the Finn will be aiming for victory in the Supercar category this time in an FC2 car run by Olsbergs-MSE.
Focused on the Finnish Rally Championship since the start of the 2026 season, Niclas Grönholm will reconnect with his discipline of choice at the end of April as he reunites with Olsbergs-MSE, the team with which he made his World Rallycross Championship debut in 2016.
The occasion is made even more special by the fact that Marcus Grönholm himself competed at the Valkenswaard circuit in 2008 in an Olsbergs-MSE Ford Fiesta.
“It’s been a long time since I last drove a combustion-powered rallycross car, and even longer since I’ve had the opportunity to compete in this discipline under the GRX banner,” said Niclas.

“After several years in electric machinery, I’m really looking forward to getting back to basics with the FC2. I can’t wait to be back on track in Valkenswaard.”
Marcus Grönholm also welcomed GRX’s return to rallycross.
“This all came together quite late, but I’m very happy to see GRX back in rallycross. I had some of the best moments of my career with Olsbergs-MSE, and I hope Niclas can experience the same as we begin this new chapter together.”
While this appearance at Valkenswaard is currently planned as a one-off, the possibility of further RallyX outings for GRX has not been ruled out.
“You never know what the future may hold,” Marcus Grönholm concluded.
