Team OMSE Confirms Kevin and Oliver Eriksson for RallyX Americas Hypercar Program

Brothers Kevin and Oliver Eriksson will return to First Corner FC1 Hypercars for Team OMSE during the inaugural RallyX Americas season. After competing extensively in FC2 Supercars in RallyX’s European events to start the season, including this weekend in Älvsbyn, Sweden, the Erikssons will begin their North Americas campaign on June 19-21 at Crandon International Raceway in Wisconsin, the same place where they took part in the series’ inaugural demo event last fall.

Kevin Eriksson was the primary development driver for the FC1, scoring his first race win in the car on ice in Calgary in 2023. Eriksson is perhaps best known for viral highlights that include his famous “around the outside” pass in the first corner at Estering in 2016 to take his first career World Rallycross victory, as well as his win in a dramatic head-to-head battle at Glen Helen Raceway in 2021.

“I can’t wait to get back to racing in North America this season with RallyX Americas,” said Kevin Eriksson. “Our demo last year at Crandon showed how much potential rallycross has with the right venues and people behind it. The tracks are going to be awesome and the fields are going to be competitive, so I’m excited for the season ahead!”

Oliver Eriksson has been one of the top drivers in FC1 since the car was introduced in 2022, taking wins on the ice at Trois-Rivières and dirt at Glen Helen in 2023, and adding a victory at Richmond Raceway in 2024. In the car’s last racing season, he was the only driver to place on the podium in all four races. Eriksson’s additional accomplishments include the Global Rallycross Lites title in 2015, two more titles in the car in RX2 in 2018 and 2019, and RallyX’s Open 4WD title in 2020.

“Taking part in the inaugural RallyX Americas season is going to be really exciting,” said Oliver Eriksson. “Some of my best career results have come in North America, and the fans are awesome everywhere we go. I’m looking forward to competing for a championship in the FC1 again and can’t wait to get back to Crandon to get it started!”

The Erikssons will be joined at Team OMSE by Jimmy Henderson, who was confirmed as the team’s first RallyX Americas driver earlier this spring. Henderson is the runaway leader in points in the premier division of Championship Off-Road, Pro 4, through the first four rounds of the season.
