POINTS UPDATE: RallyX Americas | Round 3 at Eldora

Despite two very different results at Eldora Speedway on Saturday, the JC Raceteknik duo of Robin Larsson and Lukas Andersson have retained the RallyX Americas Hypercar and Supercar championship leads, respectively. Here’s a look at how things break down:

How are RallyX Americas points scored?

Drivers can score a maximum of 37 points during a RallyX Americas round. Drivers have three opportunities to score points:

  • Qualifying Heats: The driver who posts the best cumulative results in qualifying heats receives 16 points. Second place receives 15, third place receives 14, and so on.
  • Semifinals: Each semifinal winner receives 6 points. Second place receives 5, third place receives 4, and so on.
  • Overall Classification: The winner of the A final receives 15 points. The rest of the drivers to make the A final score between 12 and 8 points. The winner of the B final scores 6 points, second place receives 5, third place receives 4, and so on.

Hypercar Recap and Points

Larsson’s gap shrunk from eight points on Tommi Hallman to four after he missed the A final on Saturday night, although a win in the B final mitigated the damage. Kevin Eriksson remained third after just missing the podium, while his brother Oliver traded spots with Jimmy Henderson at the bottom of the top five thanks to a podium finish. Timmy Hansen’s A final victory allowed him to gain three spots, jumping from ninth to sixth, as he scored a division-high 34 points.

Supercar Recap and Points

For the second time in three rounds, Andersson posted a perfect points score on Saturday by pacing the field in heats, semifinals, and the A final. An intense night of battles between Tyler Leach and Banks Hovey—at one point leading to matching penalties for both—wasn’t enough to keep them both from taking their second podiums of the season and jumping to second and third in points, while Johnny Holtger and Gray Leadbetter now complete the top five.

  1. Lukas Andersson, 107
  2. Tyler Leach, 83
  3. Banks Hovey, 81
