Established in 1971 by the Dutch Rallycross Association (NRV), the Valkenswaard circuit holds the distinction of being the world’s first track specifically designed for Rallycross events.

While Valkenswaard hosted the Dutch round of the FIA European Championship until 2012, the track and its facilities have since undergone significant upgrades. In addition to the introduction of a joker lap in 2011, the dirt sections were completely rebuilt in 2022.

Stretching 1,033 meters in length, with a surface composition of 60% asphalt and 40% dirt, Valkenswaard has been the stage for some of the most legendary battles in European Rallycross history. Its low-grip asphalt and long starting straight make for an exhilarating first turn, aptly named “Per Eklund’s Corner,” which became one of the most action-packed segments of the European Championship.
