Just hours before the RallyX Championship resumes with the Danish round in Nysum, a major shake-up is set to disrupt the CrossCar hierarchy.
This season, as Frederik Märtin makes his first steps in the RallyX world, the son of former WRC legend Markko Märtin has decided to leave behind his Speedcar Wonder chassis to join the PACE Motorsport team. There, he will line up alongside fellow Estonians Martin Juga and Romet Tsirna, who currently occupy first and third in the North Championship standings.
Märtin, who already claimed a podium finish on his debut at Riga back in May, will now get behind the wheel of a LifeLive TN11 chassis—the same machine that has carried the Juga/Tsirna duo to one win and a total of nine podiums since the season opener in Montalegre.
Currently sitting 13th in the North Championship, Märtin’s best results in qualifying heats so far have been a pair of Top 5 finishes.
Following a test session last weekend, PACE Motorsport team principal Jarmo Võsa expressed his enthusiasm about welcoming Martin to the squad for the Danish round.
“I think Frederik really enjoyed his first laps in the TN11 chassis,” said Jarmo Võsa.
“From the team’s perspective, we’re both thrilled and impressed by how quickly he adapted to this new car. Romet Tsirna was by his side, guiding him and explaining the specifics of the LifeLive chassis. That’s a great sign ahead of Nysum. Frederik was focused and receptive to all the feedback we gave him. He has natural talent, and I have no doubt he’ll deliver a strong performance next weekend in Denmark.”
