Mads Larsen: “I’m getting closer to the leaders”

While Mads Larsen continues his learning curve in the Supercar Lites category, the Linnemann Promotion driver is determined to shine this weekend as RallyX heads to his home circuit in Nysum.

True, the young Dane hasn’t managed to reach a final since the Valkenswaard round, but his progress since the start of the season is clear for all to see, with eight Top 5 finishes in qualifying already to his name.

This Danish round could well mark a turning point. For the first time in the 2025 campaign, Larsen will line up on a track he knows inside out.

“The pressure isn’t overwhelming, but being in Denmark, with so many fans and partners around, there’s definitely a little more than usual,” admits Mads.

Ambitious yet realistic, Larsen knows exactly what he’s aiming for at Nysum.

“I really hope to make the final at my home event. I think it’s possible, and I’ll give everything to get there. Up until now, not only have I had to learn how to handle the Supercar Lites, but I’ve also had to adapt to a new track every weekend. This time, I’m coming to Nysum on a circuit I know by heart, so I think I can deliver a strong result. I’m really starting to understand the car and how it behaves. That changes everything—especially here at home.”

This growing confidence now allows him to push harder behind the wheel.

“I feel like I can attack more. I’m getting closer and closer to the leaders, and now I can take more risks than I did at the start of the season.”

A win might still be out of reach, but Larsen makes no secret of his ambitions for this special round.

“Winning is tough for now, but a podium is definitely possible. I’ll try, and we’ll see.”

And while a podium would be sweet, he knows what would make this weekend truly perfect.

“Finishing ahead of the Daarbak brothers on this track would already feel like a big achievement, but we’ll see how the weekend unfolds.”
