A Supercar/FC2 drive for the Supercar Lites Academy winner

RallyX is taking another step forward in its development by reaffirming its ambition: to deliver an increasingly professional championship while maintaining a clear and accessible pathway to the highest level of rallycross.

At the heart of this strategy, the Supercar Lites category is reclaiming a central role. Designed as a true platform for development and talent identification, it once again establishes itself as a key stepping stone for the sport’s future stars.

At a time when the costs of motorsport continue to rise, RallyX is committing to a sustainable model through its different categories, ranging from CrossCar to Supercar Lites and Supercar/FC2. The series relies on cost-controlled machinery while ensuring a high level of competition and structure. The objective is clear: to provide a professional environment without excluding young drivers due to budget constraints.

“We are building a professional series with cars that cost a fraction of what it takes to compete in traditional rallycross categories. That is our philosophy: to maintain a consistent and sustainable direction for the sport,” explains Andreas Eriksson.

A unique opportunity to seize

To support this vision, RallyX has announced a major incentive for drivers competing in Supercar Lites.

A classification based on each driver’s four best double-header weekends throughout the 2026 season will determine the overall winner, who will be awarded a Supercar/FC2 drive at the World Final in Montalegre, scheduled for October 24–25.

The prize is valued at €25,000. A rare opportunity in today’s motorsport landscape.

“This is an exceptional opportunity. We want drivers to understand that the Lites category is the best pathway to take the next step. This type of reward simply doesn’t exist anywhere else in the rallycross market today,” adds Andreas Eriksson.

A proven pathway to the top

This initiative marks a return to a model that has already proven successful in the past, helping several top drivers launch their international careers in the premier Supercar category.

Notable names include Kevin Hansen, Kevin Eriksson, Niclas Grönholm, Reinis Nitiss and Cyril Raymond, all of whom came through this system before establishing themselves at the highest level. More than just a championship, Supercar Lites once again positions itself as a genuine springboard to the elite of rallycross.

Developing the “Stars of Tomorrow”

Beyond the sporting reward, RallyX is also strengthening its commitment to driver development through the expansion of the Supercar Lites Academy.

Designed as a comprehensive support programme, the initiative aims to guide young drivers, prepare them for the demands of top-level competition, and provide both technical and mental support throughout the season.

“The goal is to develop the future stars of rallycross. We want to support drivers, guide them, and give them all the tools they need to improve. We want to raise the level and build something bigger. Our objective is to deliver a professional series while staying true to the essence of rallycross,” concludes Andreas Eriksson.

With this renewed approach, RallyX confirms its role as a key stepping stone for drivers aiming to reach the top level. One thing is now clear: in Supercar Lites, performance can open the door directly to rallycross’ premier category.
