Timmy Hansen won the battle, but Tommi Hallman won the war, as RallyX Americas wrapped up its inaugural championship at Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières on Sunday afternoon. In a final with a simple goal—finish in front of the other title rival—Hallman outdueled Robin Larsson to take second place on the podium and clinch the championship by a single point.

Hansen was the class of field for much of the weekend, posting two of the top four times in heats, and winning his semifinal. The second semifinal came down to a battle between Larsson and Hallman, with Larsson spinning after contact with Hallman going into the second turn. Hallman would secure the first row spot in the final, but Larsson would have to come from the back after Tanner Foust defended second place all race long.

Undeterred, Larsson would rocket from the third row to second place off the start, chasing Hansen and asserting himself in front of Hallman early in the final. But Hallman would pull to the inside and drag race back past Larsson into the first turn with just two laps to go, and Larsson would clip the outside wall coming to the right flag, setting him back just far enough to decide the title in Hallman’s favor.

While Hansen’s accident in Crandon took him out of the title fight, his victory made him the only repeat Hypercar winner on the season. The win also came 10 years after he took his first victory on the challenging Trois-Rivières circuit.

For Supercar driver Lukas Andersson, everything after the heats was a victory lap. The Swede, winner of two of the first three rounds of the season, locked up the title over Tyler Leach after finishing second in that segment of the event, and he’d win his semifinal to put the icing on the cake.

But the podium of the final would come to three drivers looking to replicate his path up the RallyX ladder: Roberts Vitols, Thomas Eek Murstad, and Alexander Lindeqvist. That trio had combined for just two worldwide starts in FC2 cars coming into the weekend, both in Murstad’s hands in Europe. But it was Vitols who shone brightest all Sunday long, winning both heats, his semifinal, and the final.

The 2026 RallyX season concludes on October 24-25 at Montalegre Circuit in Portugal with the inaugural RallyX Global Final. Top racers from RallyX’s North, South, and Americas divisions will all be competing for worldwide top honors.
