Widely regarded as one of Finland’s brightest up-and-coming talents, Anton Seppa continues to rack up strong results ahead of the RallyX round at KymiRing.

Last weekend, the Skoda Fabia driver made waves on the Riga circuit during Rounds 5 and 6 of the RallyX series.

Seppa claimed victory in the Pro Am final in Race 1, then followed it up by securing his first Pro final qualification of the season in Race 2.

Out of the 32 points up for grabs during the qualifying stages in Latvia, the young Finn earned 24—ranking him third overall in Riga, just behind Janis Baumanis and Maiko Tamm.

“For a first race behind the wheel of a new car and on a track I had never driven before, the outcome was pretty solid,” noted the 19-year-old driver.

“We were up against international stars, but we rose to the challenge. We did struggle at first to dial in the right setup for the Riga track—it’s completely different from the circuits we’re used to in the Finnish championship—but I believe we lived up to expectations.”

For Seppa, the weekend’s performance is a promising sign of what’s to come.

“Honestly, being able to keep pace with someone as accomplished as Janis Baumanis—on a track he knows like the back of his hand—was one of the best moments I’ve experienced since I started racing. Our performance in Latvia proved that we have what it takes to compete with the top names in Rallycross.”

The Finnish driver backed up that form this past weekend at the Oulu Zone circuit during the opening round of his domestic championship.

Finishing second in the final behind multiple Finnish champion Jere Kalliokoski, Seppa couldn’t have asked for a better tune-up before heading into the next RallyX round, set to take place on home soil at KymiRing on June 14–15.

“Apart from my start in the final, we had an almost perfect weekend. I managed to stay close to Jere Kalliokoski the whole race. Even though I never quite found the opening I needed to go for the win, we’re more than happy with the result. After back-to-back events in Riga and Oulu Zone, it’s time for a short break before we prepare under the best possible conditions for the upcoming RallyX showdown at KymiRing in mid-June.”
