A star is born in Nysum

After his sensational win in Race 1 on Saturday in the Supercar Lites category in his first official appearance in the class, Lukas Andersson managed to claim his second consecutive win in Denmark.

If we knew the potential of the 15 year old Swede since his previous experience in the Junior CrossCar category, the JC Raceteknik driver has definitely taken a step forward on Sunday by converting twice the best time in Q1 and Q2 and then by quietly controlling the flow of the race in Q3 to take the 16 points allocated to the winner of the intermediate classification ahead of Casper Jansson and Simon Olofsson.

Lukas Andersson got the best start in the final and showed his nerve to withstand the numerous attacks of his opponents to claim the win ahead of Simon Olofsson and Ole-Henry Steinsholt, who each scored their first podium of the 2023 season.

Fourth-placed Casper Jansson recovered from his elimination in the semi-final the previous day, while Isak Sjokvist (fifth) and Martin Enlund (sixth) were tied for third place in the overall championship classification.

For his part, Lukas Andersson will be able to continue his journey to the next stage in Tierp, scheduled for May 6 and 7, with a six-point lead over the defending champion Simon Olofsson.
