Here’s how the competition format for RallyX looks:

Free Practice

All participants have the opportunity to run two free trainings for a maximum of 4 laps each.

Qualifying Rounds

The heats are run over four laps.

Each participant runs three qualifying rounds with a maximum of five cars in each heat.

After each first qualifying round, the position of the drivers in the qualifying round is calculated based on the total time in each heat.

After three qualifying rounds, the twelve to 18 drivers (depending on number of entries) with the highest total qualifier points go to the semifinals. Drivers who do not participate in the first qualifying round receive no points.

Fifteen drivers participate. Driver X will be second in first qualifying Round 1, sixth in first qualifying Round 2 and will not start in first qualifying Round 3. He will then score 45 + 38 + 0 = 83 Qualifying points.

Championship points after qualifying rounds are awarded as follows: 16,15,14,13,12,11, etc.
