The most exciting weekend of the year is approaching

Only 15 days after a first RallyX stage that was more than spectacular on the Danish track of Nysum, the Scandinavian series will head to the Tierp Arena this coming weekend for one of the biggest motorsport events of the year with the RallyXtream weekend.

Indeed, with no less than four disciplines gathered in the prestigious Tierp Arena, the entertainment promises to be non-stop on May 6 and 7.

“The first round of the championship in Nysum showed that there was a very high level in all categories, but Tierp is shaping up to be a more than special event as we will be bringing together several disciplines on a single motorsport weekend,” explains Andreas Eriksson.

“This motorsport festival is an idea I have had in mind for a very long time and one that we came close to achieving a few years ago, but the fact that we can return to the Tierp venue this year gives us the opportunity to make it happen. We have had very little time to get everything in place but we have worked hard to achieve this goal.”

In addition to Drift events, a Rallysprint event is also on the schedule while the brand new SxS Nordic championship will also be featured.

“We will have a burnyard with Drift cars. It will be our way of paying a final tribute to Ken Block. I worked on a lot of projects with him back in the day and we thought this burnyard would be a great way to honor his legacy. We will also have a SxS Nordic competition with a track that will be entirely dedicated to this competition. Being able to bring all these different disciplines together promises to be an exciting weekend. Between the Rallycross, the Burnyard, the SxS Nordic and the Rally Sprint event, the public will have the opportunity to follow all these events by going from one circuit to another.”

Among the events to follow, the Rally Sprint event promises to be exciting with the participation of Johan Kristoffersson (Polo Rally2), Kevin Eriksson (FC1-X), Ole-Christian Veiby (Polo Rally2) while Andreas Eriksson will be back in the Ford Fiesta Mk7 “X-Games”. For his part, Marcus Gronholm will drive the Ford Fiesta MK6 with which he won in 2008 in Höljes.
