Yury Belevskiy: “I made the right decision”

Currently third in the overall standings heading into the second day of racing in Tierp, Yury Belevksiy is competing in his second full season of RallyX this year. A choice that is not a simple coincidence for the Volland Racing driver.

Fifth in the Supercar category in 2022 with a victory to his credit in Riga, the former FIA Euro RX3 European champion does not regret his decision to return to RallyX for a single second.

“I made the right decision to come back for a full season in RallyX. Naturally, the question of focusing on the European championship came up this winter, but the level of RallyX last year was so high that it was enough to convince us,” says Yury Belevskiy.

“After all, it’s not every day that you can fight against Johan Kristoffersson on a Rallycross track. And the rest of the field is extremely competitive. Of course, we would like to have many more drivers competing, but when you are up against drivers like Ole-Christian Veiby, Kevin Eriksson, Andreas Bakkerud or Peter Hedstrom, who was very competitive in Denmark at the beginning of the championship, it is obvious that this championship offers me absolutely all the ingredients to allow me to progress.”

“It’s no coincidence that we made the choice to return to RallyX. For us, it is the most competitive Rallycross championship you can find and I hope that other drivers will join us in the upcoming events. On our side, besides the fact that we can collect a lot of kilometers to improve the car’s performance, it is obvious that our goal for the year is to fight for the championship”
