Johan Kristoffersson clinches second Supercar championship crown

With a two-point lead over Kevin Eriksson in the overall standings, Johan Kristoffersson made the most of the opportunity to claim a second RallyX championship title this Saturday in Höljes.

After a masterfully controlled qualifying session with four wins to his credit, Johan Kristoffersson gave his rivals no chance here in Höljes. Winner of the intermediate classification ahead of Yury Belevskiy and Kevin Eriksson, the KMS driver then overcame Ole-Christian Veiby in the semi-final before taking victory ahead of Oliver Eriksson and his KMS team-mate.

Kevin Eriksson tried to turn the weekend’s momentum around, but a shaky semi-final following contact with Peter Hedstrom at the entrance to the first corner almost resulted in elimination even before the last battle of the 2023 season.

Fourth at the end of the final, ahead of Linus Ostlund and Yury Belevskiy, Kevin Eriksson fell nine points short of the title.

An intense weekend for Simon Olofsson

In the Supercar Lites, the crown went to Simon Olofsson after a hectic weekend for the championship leader. After a complicated qualifying session, the RallyX 2022 champion nevertheless managed to take second place on the podium in Höljes, between Casper Jansson, who scored his first win of the season, and Martin Enlund, who claimed his sixth podium in eight races.

While Simon Olofsson became the first driver in Supercar Lites history to win a second consecutive RallyX title, second place in the championship went to Martin Enlund, while rookie Lukas Andersson fell just one point short of the runner-up spot.

Simon Tiger did not miss out

In the Open 2WD category, Simon Tiger won his second title in three years. Viktor Johansson’s engine failure on the very first day of racing meant that the BMW M3 driver took the opportunity to put an end to the outgoing champion’s hopes. Third in qualifying, Tiger took the lead in the final before mechanical problems helped Emil Öhman to win ahead of his younger brother Adam and his Lexus IS200.

Fifth in qualifications, Linus Holmlund took third place, ahead of Bjorn Stuhre. However, Swedish legend Urban Bergström was forced to retire after a spectacular excursion from the track.

Sebastian Enholm claims CrossCar title

In the CrossCar category, the three-way battle between Sebastian Enholm, Thomas Eek Murstad and Elias Svensson ended in the first driver’s favor. Despite winning the qualifications, a puncture in the semi-final put an end to Elias Svensson’s hopes.

Thomas Eek Murstad gave his all in the final to try and topple Sebastian Enholm, but his third place in the wake of Martin Juga and Alexander Heum was not enough to defeat the overall leader. In fifth place at the end of the final battle of the 2023 season, Sebastian Enholm takes the title with a one-point advantage over Eek Murstad, while Elias Svensson retains third place in the championship, seven points behind the 2023 champion.

Mikael Uitto untouchable in the junior category

Having arrived in Höljes four points behind leader Joonatan Ylilammi, Mikael Uitto didn’t shy away from the challenges of this final stage of the 2023 season. Winner of three of the four qualifying heats, the Finn claimed his second consecutive Junior title with a fourth victory ahead of Joonatan Ylilammi and Lauri Halonen, while Oliver Tveiten Sollie took fourth place ahead of Joakim Lund Olander and Hampus Hagström.
