Joel Christoffersson: “Consistency is the key”

After shocking the crowds in his first Supercar Lites campaign in 2023, Lukas Andersson returns to the JC Raceteknik team this year. A new season Joel Christoffersson is looking forward to.

Nobody expected it, but the former Junior CrossCar champion has made a strong impression.

Winner of three of the first four races of the championship, Lukas Andersson also put in a strong performance, setting eight fastest times in qualifications and scoring 12 top-three finishes in the 26 qualifying rounds in which he took part.

Having set the absolute fastest lap at Nysum 2 and Tierp 2, Lukas Andersson will return to the RallyX championship scene as a serious favourite.

“Lukas impressed a lot of people last season and learned a lot,” says Joel Christoffersson.

“I really believe you learn as much on the bad days as you do when you’re winning, and while of course we want to win every weekend, last season Lukas learned a lot”.

Beyond the results he will be able to achieve this year, the JC Raceteknik boss hopes that Lukas Andersson will continue to develop.

“We will work to help him put all of that leaning together this year, so he can continue making progress. We know he has the speed, he has shown that with winning a number of events, the consistency is important now, and making the best of things when your day is not going so well. JC has a lot of pride in bringing young talents forward from Junior Cross Car and are excited to continue this journey with Lukas.”
