Pasi Penttinen is back on top

After a difficult first four races in the RallyX championship, Pasi Pentinen used the third round of the FIA European CrossCar Championship, held last weekend in Vilkyciai, Lithuania, to mark his return to the top level.

Not exactly blessed since the start of the 2024 season, RallyX competitor Pasi Penttinen has finally stepped up a gear at the wheel of his LifeLive chassis.

Indeed, the Finnish driver has given himself a thunderous wake-up call.

Having failed to qualify for a final in the six races he competed in between the European and RallyX championships, Penttinen was flawless until the start of the final in Lithuania, where he, like Frenchman Alban Vigot, did not make it past the first lap.

Nevertheless, the Finn had done his best, and at the end of qualifying he was third in the intermediate standings, behind David Méat and Ivan Chinchilla. Nevertheless, this first qualification for the weekend’s final Top 10 allowed him to move up from 19th to 10th place in the overall standings.

It’s enough to put a smile back on the face of Pasi Penttinen, whose performances in the RallyX championship have never reflected his true potential since the start of the season.

Currently in 20th place in the overall standings with just 13 points after four rounds, the Finn is sure to return with a boost of confidence when the RallyX championship gets underway in Alvsbyn on 29 and 30 June.
