JC Raceteknik has confirmed it will field Sondre Evjen and Ben-Philip Gundersen for the 2019 RallyX on Ice presented by Cooper Tires festival, to be held in Are in Sweden.
Fresh from the announcement they will spearhead the team’s RallyX Nordic efforts in Supercar Lites, the Norwegian pair will also target top honours on Ice during the new-look six-day, three-round event on 18 – 20 – 23 March 2019.
Coming hot on the heels of Oliver Eriksson’s entry confirmation, it means three of last year’s top five overall drivers will go against one another once more.
Evjen led JC Raceteknik’s challenge twelve months ago with a run to third overall, including two second place finishes in four events, while Gundersen made his JC Raceteknik Lites debut and impressed en route to fifth position.
“I’ve enjoyed great success in RallyX on Ice over the years, but this is the year I want to go all the way to the top,” revealed Evjen. “I have been training hard over the winter and I know JC Raceteknik will give me the best possible machine, so all that remains is for me to get out there and win. The new format works well and the track changes over the week are a fun way to keep the racing fun and competitive. I can’t wait to get started!”
