Kevin Eriksson has not yet said his last word

Kevin Eriksson entered at the very last minute when the championship kicked off two weeks ago in Nysum, but it is in a leader’s seat that he is approaching the Tierp weekend. Encouraged by his double podium finish in Denmark, the Honda Civic driver is not hiding the fact that his investment in RallyX could last a little longer than expected.

Winner of race 2 in Nysum at the end of April, Kevin Eriksson managed to score 52 points out of a possible 60. With a two-point lead over his closest rival Johan Kristoffersson, the OMSE driver is not denying that he is enjoying the experience.

Inevitably, when you start to achieve results, you get into a positive dynamic that makes you want to continue the season,” said Kevin Eriksson.

However, the Swede admits that the task is much more complicated than it seems.

“On the other hand, I have been very busy with the organization of this weekend. This festival required a lot of work to set up the Drift, Rallysprint and SxS Nordic events. In fact, I had absolutely not planned to participate in this event because I knew that this weekend was going to be intense on the organizational level. However, the fact that I am leading the championship and that I am coming off a victory in Nysum are elements that helped me to change my mind,” says Kevin.

“I needed to be there. These cars are so much fun to drive and the level of my competitors is so high that I couldn’t pass up this opportunity. As for the rest, we’ll see. Who knows what will happen in the next races in Finland, Norway or Höljes? What is certain is that I will probably be back this year on the next championship events”
