Olliver Sollie returns with big ambitions

Fourth overall in the Junior CrossCar category in 2023, 13-year-old Norwegian Olliver Sollie is clearly aiming to take the next step in his development in 2024.

Olliver Tveitten-Sollie was the only non-Finnish driver to reach the podium last season, finishing second in Kouvola, with no fewer than six six qualifications for a final place in eight races.

Nevertheless, it is with a clear sense of ambition that the driver of the RX Evolution team will return to racing next May in Tierp for the kick-off of the 2024 season.

“We saw last year that we had the pace to compete with the best drivers in the junior category, so that’s certainly a factor that boosts my confidence,” says Olliver.

“My ambitions for the 2024 season are quite simple: I want to fight for the top positions. Of course, I’m expecting the competition to be tough again, but my goal is clearly to fight for the podium and victory at every stage of the championship.”

One thing is for sure, the Norwegian doesn’t intend to put too much pressure on himself.

“I think that we’re going to be very well prepared for this 2024 season. We’re starting to gain experience in this RallyX championship and I can’t deny that I wouldn’t mind following in Mikael Uitto’s footsteps in the CrossCar Junior championship. Nevertheless, I’m approaching this year without pressure, trying not to focus too much on the title.”
